Amateur Mingles* Singles 2022-2023

* Mingles is a shuffleboard tournament format wherein a match consists of one game, with a random draw for a new opponent each match. See our Glossary for more.

Our Amateur Mingles Singles Series consists of six tournaments, spread out over the months November through April.  Players do not have to commit to playing all the tournaments – you can play any one or more. The tournaments are open to all amateur shufflers or any skill level. You do not have to be a Clearwater Shuffleboard Club member or belong to another club to enter.

There are cash prizes each tournament for the day’s winners. At the end of the series, the top player is awarded $50 plus a one-year Club membership. The home park with the most participation during the series is awarded a brand new set of tournament discs.

All tournaments take place on a Saturday, rain or shine. 9:00am start time; registration opens at 8:00am. $6.00 entry fee. Runs until about 2:30pm. Bring your own lunch.

Each tournament consists of four ten-frame singles games. Opponents are determined by random draw each game. Players carry over their winning scores for a tournament total. Winners are determined first by number of games won, then by score total. All players play all four games – there is no elimination.
